We are located right off the Pune-Nashik Road here in Shivaji Nagar, specifically on the Maldad Road area of Sangamner. It's quite a busy spot in Ahmednagar if you know the route. Krushianand Farmers Producer Company Limited started because a few of us locally wanted to handle our own produce and stop relying on middle men so much. It is not some big fancy office or anything, just a group of farmers trying to figure out how to get our crops from the fields to the market without losing all the profit along the way. Most days you will find someone hanging around the office talking about the weather or the price of seeds because that is just how things go in this part of Maharashtra. We deal with whatever is in season and try to keep the paperwork in order as best we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the trucks are late but we just get on with it. It’s a lot of physical work and phone calls. Being based here in 422605 means we are close to where the actual growing happens. We don't have a marketing team or someone writing fancy speeches for us. It is just the guys from the local villages sitting down and making decisions together. We have been at this for a while now and the office at Maldad Road is where everything gets sorted. It's a simple operation really.
