Khetamal Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Umarantal, Navapur. We are a group of women farmers working together near Yashvant Bhila Chitte’s place. In our part of Nandurbar, farming is what we know best. We decided to form this company to have a bit more say in how our crops are sold and to help each other out with the heavy lifting. It’s not always easy, especially with the chores at home and the work in the fields. We meet up to discuss the seeds and the fertilizers we need for the next season. The 425418 area is where we've spent our whole lives. We don't have a big office with computers everywhere. It’s more about sitting together and making decisions that help our families. Our hands are usually busy with something, whether it’s planting or sorting through the harvest. We face the same problems as any other farmer, like the weather being unpredictable or the prices being low at the market. But doing it together makes the burden feel a bit lighter. We are just regular people trying to make a living from the land we own. There’s no corporate talk here at our place. We just speak plainly about what needs to be done. Every year we learn something new about the soil or a better way to handle the transport. It’s just us, working hard every day in Navapur to keep things moving forward for everyone involved.
