Khansepatil Farmer Producer Company is located over at Gut No 379 in Nilajgaonta. If you know the Paithan area, you probably know where that is. It's mostly quiet around here, mostly just fields and the occasional tractor going by. We started this because a few of us farmers wanted to get organized. It isn't easy running a company when you're used to being out in the sun all day, but we are learning as we go. We spend a lot of time talking about soil and what the market is doing. Sometimes we meet at the site to figure out the logistics of moving our produce. The office is basic, just a place to keep the books and meet up. It gets quite dusty in the summer. Nilajgaonta is a good place for this kind of work. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity with glossy brochures. We just want to get our work done and make sure the families here have a way to sell what they grow. Sometimes the rain helps, sometimes it doesn't. We just take it as it comes. Usually, there's a lot of tea involved in our meetings. If you walk past Gut No 379, you might see us sitting around or loading up a truck. It’s just daily life for us here in Paithan. We don't need anything fancy or expensive to do what we do.
