Kawal Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just us farmers gathered together at Waghla in Vaijapur. The address is Shrigulchand Barku Chandwade’s place, and that is where we usually meet up to discuss what is going on with the crops and the season. It is not some big fancy office building with glass walls or anything like that. We are just local people from the Aurangabad district trying to manage our farming business together so things are a bit easier for everyone involved. Sometimes the weather is good and sometimes it is not, but we stay busy here in the village. It gets pretty hot during the summer months in Vaijapur, but we are used to it by now. People know us around here because we have been working these lands for a long time. If you are looking for us, you just head towards Waghla and ask for the Chandwade house. It is a simple setup because we spend most of our time out in the fields anyway rather than sitting inside. We don’t have a lot of big talk about what we do, we just get up and do it every morning. There is always some paperwork to handle for the company, but we prefer the actual farming part. It feels right to have a local group like this for the farmers in our small corner of the world. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, working the land as best as we can.
