Our company, Karmaveer Audumbarravaji Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located in Anawali. That is in the Pandharpur taluka of Solapur. We chose the name to honor the spirit of the people who worked hard before us. Pandharpur is a famous place, but we are out in the farming area of Anawali. We are a group of farmers who got tired of struggling on our own. By starting this company, we can help each other with the logistics of farming. Solapur is known for being hot and dry, so water management is a big part of what we talk about. We don't have a fancy office building. We just use our space at Post Anawali to get the work done. It is a place where we can sit down and talk about the prices of seeds and where to sell our grain. We aren't businessmen in the traditional sense. We are people who have callouses on our hands. We do the bookkeeping ourselves and try to keep things as organized as possible. It is a learning process for all of us. Most of our members are local neighbors.
