Karjatkar Farmers Producer Company Limited is located out in Bargewadi, which is in the Karjat Taluka of Ahmednagar. We are right there at the Post-Bargewadi area, so everyone around here knows where we are. Being a farmers producer company means we spend most of our time out in the heat or talking to the neighbors about their yields. It is a very rural spot, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We don't have a fancy glass building; we just work out of the space we have here in the village. Most days start early before it gets too hot to move around. We deal with whatever the farmers need at that moment, whether it’s seeds or just figuring out where to sell the harvest this time around. It’s practical work. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when we need it, and that makes the mood a bit heavy, but we keep going. We have been part of this community for a long time, so people just drop in whenever they have a question. There is always some paperwork to do for the company registrations and the government stuff, which takes up more time than we’d like. But at the end of the day, we are just a local group from Karjat trying to help our own people get a better deal for their crops and hard work. We aren't experts in everything, just farmers trying to do better for ourselves and our friends in the village. It takes a lot of patience to do this.
