Jidnyasa Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

We've been running Jidnyasa Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited for a while now. Most people around here just know us from Pargaon, over in the Ambegaon taluka. If you're looking for us, we are at house number 425. It's a women-led group mostly. We started this because we wanted to handle our farming stuff better together instead of everyone doing it on their own. Farming in this part of the state has its ups and downs with the weather and all that. Our group is made up of local women who work the land every day. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that, just a regular place where we meet and talk about seeds, crops, and where to sell what we grow. We spend a lot of time out in the fields and then come back here to figure out the business side of things. It is hard work sometimes, but having the company helps us get a fair shake. We try to keep things simple. People stop by when they need to discuss the harvest or if they have questions about what we are doing next season. It's just us local folks trying to make a living and keep the farms going. Sometimes it gets a bit busy around harvest time, but that is how it goes. We are just glad to be working together here in Pargaon. We try to help each other out as much as possible.
