Jalachar Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is Jalachar Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are located at House Number 213 over on the Bramhani side of Vambori. That is in the Rahuri area of Ahmednagar. We are a local group of folks who decided to work together instead of struggling on our own. The office is really just a room in a house where we keep our books and meet up. There is usually a bit of mud on the floor because we come straight from the fields. Ahmednagar can be a dry place, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and how to keep the crops alive. We are not a big company with a lot of money. We are just farmers who know each other from the neighborhood. We share tools sometimes and help out when someone’s tractor breaks down. Vambori is a small place, and everyone knows where House 213 is. If you stop by, you might find us drinking tea and arguing about the best time to plant. We don't use any complicated systems. We just write things down and try to keep things simple. It’s a practical way of doing things that fits our lifestyle. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are just people from Rahuri trying to make the most of our land and our work. It is a long day every day, but we are used to it.
