Our place is right on Patil Galli at H. No.74. If you are near the Sarshid Baba Mandir in Shevgaon, you are pretty much right there. Gramseva Shetkari Producer Company Limited is really just a group of us local farmers trying to figure things out together. Living in the A.Nagar district means we are used to the heat and the way things work in this part of the country. We usually meet up at the house to talk about the crops or what seeds are actually working this year. It is not some big office building with glass walls or fancy signs. It is just a regular house where we keep our records and meet. Sometimes the meetings go long because everyone has a different opinion on the market. We do our best to help each other out when someone’s tractor is stuck or if the rain doesn't come when it should. The temple is a good landmark because people always get lost in the small lanes around here. We are just local people. We know the soil and the water issues better than anyone from the city would. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so this company is just a formal way to do what we already did for years. It gets very busy during harvest time. You will see plenty of activity then. Otherwise, it is just us working through the daily chores and hoping for a decent season. We share whatever knowledge we have about the ground.
