Gramdaivat Farmers Producer Companylimited is based in a small place called Chondi, which is part of the Mukhed taluka in Nanded district. It’s a long way from the big cities, and that’s exactly where we need to be to work with the local farmers. The life here is very much tied to the land and the seasons. We don't have a paved driveway or a fancy sign out front. It’s just a simple building where we gather to talk about the harvest and how to sell our produce together. In Chondi, everyone knows everyone else, so word travels fast. We formed this producer company to give the local guys a better chance at making a living. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or sitting in the shade talking through the numbers. It’s not complicated work, but it is hard work. The roads in Mukhed can be rough, especially when it rains, but we manage to get things moved when they need to be moved. We don’t have a website with fancy photos; we just have our reputation in the village. It’s about being fair and working together as a community.
