We started this group in Suregaon to help the local farming families around Kopargaon. Most of us here have been working the soil for generations and we figured it made sense to get together as a producer company. It's really just a few of us running things from House Number 13, which belongs to Shivajirao Wabale. It gets busy during the harvest season when everyone is trying to coordinate. We deal with the crops grown right here in the village. It isn't always easy because the weather doesn't always go our way, but having a group makes the selling part a bit simpler than doing it alone. We don't have a big office or fancy stuff, just a small space where we meet and talk about seeds or what the market is doing. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much for us, but we manage. If you are looking for us, we are right in the heart of the village. We wanted to make sure the farmers around here get a fair shake. It’s mostly about helping each other out with equipment or finding better prices for what we grow. Suregaon is a quiet place and we like it that way. Most days you'll find someone hanging around the house talking about the next planting cycle or how much rain we might get. It's honest work and we keep at it day by day.
