Down in Kalwan, at Juni Bej, you can find Girna Punad Farmer Producer Company. We are located at S. No. 211. This area is where we grew up, and it’s where we still work every single day. The name comes from the rivers and the land around here that we rely on. We aren't much for talking, mostly because there is always a fence to fix or a crop to check. We formed this company because we were tired of being at the mercy of middle-men who didn't understand how hard we work. Now, we try to handle more of it ourselves. It isn't always pretty. There are arguments about which seeds are better or when to start the harvest. That's just part of being a group of people who care about what they do. Juni Bej is a quiet spot, and we like it that way. We spend our mornings watching the sun come up over the fields and our evenings talking about what we need to do tomorrow. We don't have a big staff or a fancy website. It’s just us farmers trying to make a living and keep our land healthy for the next generation.
