Dsam Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Dhondlgaon, right at Gut No. 580. We use Bhausaheb Mahu Yaidya’s place as our main spot to meet up and talk shop. There are a lot of farmers in the Vaijapur area who were tired of doing everything on their own, so we formed this group to help each other out. It's not some corporate thing with a big board of directors; it’s just us, the people who actually grow the crops. We handle things like buying supplies together so maybe the price is a bit lower, and trying to get a fair price when it's time to sell what we've grown. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, or the market prices drop, and having this company helps take some of the sting out of that. We aren't trying to be the biggest operation around, just a solid one for the folks living in Dhondlgaon. The paperwork can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we manage it between chores. We mostly focus on what’s happening in the fields today and what we need to get done for next season. It’s honest work, and we all put in our fair share of time to keep things running. There's always coffee or tea around when we sit down at the Gut No. 580 address to discuss our plans. It’s just how we do things here. We don't have any big secrets, just lots of hard work and community.
