We are located at Plot No. 87/115 in Mirajgaon. That is in the Karjat area of Ahmednagar. Our company is Brd Food Processingprivate Limited. We set this up because there is a lot of produce around here that needs processing before it can be sold to the bigger markets. Instead of letting things go to waste, we started this small facility. It is not a huge industrial park. It’s just our plot where we have the machines and the storage space we need. Most of the people who work here are from Mirajgaon or the nearby villages. We know each other's families and we work together to get the job done every day. The weather in Ahmednagar can get really hot, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the day before the sun gets too high. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning. It’s a practical workspace where we focus on the food we are handling. We deal with whatever crops are in season at the time. Sometimes we have to fix the machines ourselves when they break down because we can't wait for a technician. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy slogans. We just try to process the food correctly so it stays fresh. If you come by the plot, you'll see we are just a group of local people trying to add value to what the farmers grow.
