If you travel to Massa in the Kalamb taluka of Osmanabad, you will find us at House Number 160. That is the home of Laxman Ganpat Thorat and the base for Bhusamvardhan Agro Producer Companylimited. The name means taking care of the soil, and that is what we spend most of our time thinking about in this 413507 area. The landscape here is beautiful but the work is never easy. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or any marketing brochures. We just have our notebooks and our knowledge of the local land. People come by the house throughout the day to talk about fertilizers or how the ground is holding up. We sit in the main room and go over the accounts and the plans for the next season. It gets a bit crowded sometimes, but we don't mind the company. Laxman’s house is a regular village home, and it’s where all the decisions are made. We just want to see the land do well and the people in Massa get a fair deal for their hard work. It is a slow process sometimes, but we are patient and we know our roots are right here in the soil of Kalamb. We just take it one day at a time.
