Bhugaurav Farmers Producer Company Limited is set up in Gala No.15 at the Krushnanand Complex. That’s in Mamdhewadgaon, which is part of Shrigonda. It’s a decent little spot for us. Having a gala in the complex makes it easier for people to find us when they come into town. We spend a lot of our time there, dealing with the daily tasks of running a farmer company. It’s not a very big space, but it’s enough to store some files and have a few chairs for when the farmers come by to chat. Shrigonda is a place where agriculture is everything. We focus a lot on the earth, which is why we picked the name Bhugaurav. It means being proud of the land. We try to help our members get what they need, whether it's advice on pests or help with selling their harvest. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust and it gets pretty hot in the office during the afternoon. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to see everyone in Mamdhewadgaon doing a bit better each year. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized, and sometimes we make mistakes with the paperwork, but we’re learning. We’re just a bunch of locals trying to do right by our community and our land.
