Bhavanand Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from Plot No. 57 in Pathardi. Jyoti Prakash Kolhe is the one who helps us stay organized there. We are a small group of farmers from the Pathardi area who realized that we were stronger together than we were apart. Most of us have been working these fields for as long as we can remember. It’s a hard life, and the rewards aren't always what they should be. By forming this company, we’re trying to change that just a little bit. We don't have a big corporate office or a lot of fancy equipment. We mostly just have our knowledge of the land and a desire to see our families do better. We meet up at Plot 57 to talk about what we need for the next season. It’s very practical stuff. We don't talk about "missions" or "visions." We talk about the cost of fertilizer and where we can sell our grain. Sometimes the market is good, and sometimes it is bad, but at least we are facing it together now. Pathardi is a good place to live, and we want to keep our farming community strong. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything moving, especially with all the rules we have to follow now. But we’re doing our best to make it work for every farmer in our group.
