Anusaya Farmer Producer Company Limited

You can find us at House Number 211, which is near Malwadi Road in Waghunde Bk, over in the Parner area. This company was put together by a few of us who have lived here our whole lives. We were tired of doing everything separately and thought maybe we could get more done if we joined up. The house is where we keep all our supplies and where we meet to figure out the next steps for the season. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the sun is just coming up. There’s always someone coming by to drop something off or pick up tools. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just speak plainly and do what we say we’re going to do. Sometimes the crops don't do what we want, and that’s a tough conversation to have, but we deal with it as a group. Parner is a good place for farming, but it takes a lot of effort to make it work. We spend our weekends mostly fixing fences or checking the storage areas at H No 211. It isn't a glamorous life, and our hands are usually dirty, but we like it that way. We just want to make sure the farmers in Waghunde Bk have a place to come together and handle the business part of their lives without too much trouble.
