Amrutsangam Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Mangalapur in the Sangamner taluka of Ahmednagar district. Our office is at the home of Tukaram Hari Pawar. We chose to keep the company right here in the village because this is where all our members live and work. We are not a corporate office from the city. We are just neighbors who decided to help each other out with the farming business. Whether it is grains or milk or vegetables, we try to gather everything together so we can get a better price at the market. Tukaram’s house is where we meet to talk about the rain, the crops, and who is buying what this month. It is very informal and we often sit together in the evening to sort through the day's problems. Mangalapur is a good place to live, but farming here takes a lot of effort and patience. We don't have any special mission statements or flashy goals. We just want to make sure we can pay our bills and keep our farms going for the next year. It’s hard work, and we make some mistakes with the books sometimes, but we always figure it out. We’re just local people doing what we know best in our own little corner of A Nagar.
