Amrawatikrishi Sanskar Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Khodgaon Anjangaon, which is under the Daryapur tehsil in Amravati. We are based at Maroti G Turkhade’s place. This area is our home, and farming is what we do. We put this company together because we saw that working alone wasn't getting us very far. When you're just one person, the big buyers don't always listen to you. But as a group, we have a bit more weight. We focus on the crops that grow well in the Amravati soil. It’s not an easy life. You're always at the mercy of the rain and the sun. We spend a lot of time just talking about how to improve things, whether it's getting better seeds or finding a cheaper way to transport our goods. Our setup is very basic. We don't have air conditioning or fancy desks. We just have a place to meet and discuss our plans. It’s about community and helping each other out during the sowing and the harvest. We try to keep our costs low so that more of the money goes back to the farmers. It's honest work and we are proud of being from Khodgaon. We take things as they come and try to make the best of what we have each season. It’s hard work but it is our way of life here.
