Zebar School For Children

Zebar School For Children is located on the Thaltej Shilaj Road in Ahmedabad. Thaltej is a busy area, and being right on the road means we see a lot of the city’s daily movement. The school has been here for a few years, and we have a regular group of kids who come in from all over the 380059 zip code. Our building has enough rooms for the different age groups, and we have a yard where they spend their breaks. It is a lively place, especially in the mornings when everyone is arriving at once. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just a school. We have teachers who show up every day, students who learn their lessons, and staff who keep the place clean and tidy. There is always a bit of a scramble during the monsoon when the rain hits the Thaltej Shilaj Road, but we manage to keep things going. We focus on the daily schedule, from the first period to the last. It’s about the books, the blackboards, and the occasional school event that we put together. We don’t have any big corporate backing; it’s just a local operation run by people who live and work in Ahmedabad. It can get a bit loud and messy, but that’s what happens when you have a lot of children in one place. We just get on with the job.
