Swastik High School

Swastik High School is over here in Sanand. As you probably know, Sanand has changed a lot lately with all the factories coming in, but our school still feels like the old town. We are located right where the local families live. The school day starts early before it gets too hot. You can see the kids in their uniforms walking down the lanes from all directions. Our building is a simple concrete structure. It has seen better days, maybe, but it is solid. Inside, the noise of students talking fills up the place. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything like that. We use ceiling fans that click as they spin. The playground is mostly dirt, but it is where all the action happens during the break. We have a small library with books that have been read hundreds of times. The teachers are mostly people from nearby towns who commute in every day. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website that looks professional. Most people find out about us just by living nearby. We just try to make sure the students learn their math and languages. Sometimes we have a little trouble with the water supply, but we fix it and move on. It is just a regular life for us here in Sanand. We keep the gates open and do our best with the kids every single day.
