Shri Swaminarayan Dwi Shatabdi Smarak High School

Shri Swaminarayan Dwi Shatabdi Smarak High School is right here in Lavarpur. We’ve been around for a good while now, and most of the folks in Gandhinagar know where we are. It’s not a fancy building with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a solid place where kids come to learn their subjects. The rooms are a decent size, and we try to keep the fans working because it gets quite hot in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just open the windows and keep going. Most of our teachers live nearby or commute from the city area. They’re regular people who’ve been teaching for years. You’ll usually see a few of them sitting on the porch during the break, having tea and talking about the day. We have a bit of a playground out front. It’s mostly dirt and some grass, but the students don't seem to mind when they’re playing cricket or just running around. We don’t have a big front office with a receptionist. Usually, if you need something, you just walk in and find one of us in the staff room. It can get a bit loud when the bells ring, but that’s just how it is with a high school. Parents stop by quite often to talk about how their kids are doing, and we just sit down and chat. It’s a very local feel here for everyone.
