Being over here in Odhav, specifically at 24/2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate, means things stay pretty loud. Yogesh Engineers Ltd. has been tucked away near Bharat Roadline for a good stretch of time. If you’re looking for us, we’re right beside Megha Motor. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks coming and going. The workshop gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the engineering work. We aren't a massive corporation with fancy slogans. It’s mostly just a group of us who know how to handle the machines. Sometimes the power goes out, or a machine needs a bit of tinkering to run right, but we manage. We don't do much advertising because most people find us by word of mouth or because they’ve driven past the estate a thousand times. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and there's always a smell of oil in the air. That’s how a real machine shop should be, I think. We spend our days looking at blueprints and fixing things that break. It’s straightforward work. No one here wears a suit. We wear boots and clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. It’s a decent living, and we take it one day at a time. The estate is busy, and we’re just one part of the noise out here in Odhav. It isn't always pretty, but it’s our life. We’ve been at this long enough to know that steady work is better than flashy promises.
