A-One Engineering

You can find A-One Engineering over at Plot No. 71/2 in Phase-1 of the GIDC. It’s a straightforward workshop where the main focus is just getting the engineering jobs finished on time. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people just know us by the address or the noise coming from the cutters. The space inside is pretty tight because we have a lot of equipment packed in, but we know where everything is. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when all the machines are running at once, but that’s just how it goes in the GIDC. We’ve had a lot of different people walk through these doors over the years looking for help with one part or another. We aren't big on meetings or long emails. If someone needs something, they usually just drop by the plot and talk to us directly. It’s easier that way. Sometimes we’re working on a big order, and other times it’s just small bits and pieces for someone down the street. We take it as it comes. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by lunchtime, and we spend a bit of time cleaning up before we head out for the day. It’s a basic, functional life. We like being part of Phase-1 because everyone around here is doing the same kind of thing, so we all understand each other and the daily grind.
