Viswanaath Agro Product International

Viswanaath Agro Product International operates out of B/3 in the Hirappana Apartment building. It might seem a bit strange to have an agro business in an apartment complex, but it works for us. We started small and just kept going from here. We deal with various agricultural products, mostly focusing on sourcing and then sending them out to where they are needed. It’s a lot of phone calls and keeping track of what’s happening in the markets. We don't have a big warehouse attached to the office, so we spend a lot of time coordinating between the farmers and the buyers. Sometimes the shipments get delayed because of the weather or transport issues, and that can be stressful. We handle a lot of paperwork every day to make sure everything is legal for international trade. It's just a few of us in the office, surrounded by samples of grain or whatever we are trading at the time. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the relationships we've built over the years. People know they can call us and we will give them a straight answer about what’s available and what the price is. It’s a practical way to run a business, and it’s served us well so far without needing a big fancy building. We just focus on the trade and getting things moved.
