As Engineers

You can find As Engineers over at Plot No. 514 in Phase-2 of the GIDC. We’re pretty close to the Vatva Railway Station, so you can often hear the trains whistling and rumbling by while we work. It’s a noisy spot, but it’s convenient for getting things shipped out. We do a lot of fabrication and mechanical work here. The shop is filled with the smell of cutting oil and the sparks from the grinders. We don't have a big front desk or any air conditioning in the workshop. It’s just a place where things get built. Most of the guys here have been working with their hands since they were teenagers. We have some old machines that still work perfectly and a couple of newer ones we’re still getting used to. There’s always a pile of scrap metal in the back that we need to clear out one of these days. We don't spend money on advertising; we just do the work for the people who come in. Sometimes the deadlines are tight and we have to work through the weekend, but that’s the way it goes when you’re running a small engineering shop. We just try to be honest about what we can do and how long it will take. It’s a rough and ready kind of place, but we get the job done.
