You can find us at B-4 in the Dhanjibhai Estate, which is right near the Revabhai Estate in Amraiwadi. We are very close to the C.T.M. Mills and the main highway, so there is never a quiet moment. The trucks never seem to stop. You can hear the vehicles roaring past all day and night. Our workshop isn't very big, but we make the most of the space we have. At Vahanvati Engineering, we spend most of our time on the shop floor. It’s usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings, which is how an engineering place should be. We have been in this estate for a while now. The people in the neighboring units are all doing similar industrial work, so we often help each other out if someone needs a tool or a bit of advice on a job. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a polished reception area. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk right into the work area and find us. The heat can get pretty intense in Amraiwadi during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. Most of us live within a few kilometers of the highway, so we see each other outside of work too. It’s a decent place to work if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty. We just focus on getting the orders out on time.
