If you head down Rakhial Road and look behind Vikram Mills, you’ll find us at number 18 in Dhulabhai Patel Chawl. It’s a busy area of Ahmedabad, always something moving or someone shouting down the lane. Our space isn't huge, but it works for what we do. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time, and the walls have seen a lot of seasons come and go. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much in the mornings, so we usually get started early before the noise really picks up. Some of the neighbors have been here as long as we have, so it feels like a small community even though the city is huge and loud. We deal with the daily chores, checking the inventory and talking to the delivery guys who struggle to park their cycles nearby. It gets dusty quick, so there's always a broom leaning against the corner. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just this room and our work. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket there and keep going. It’s a practical way to live. Most folks who come by are local workers or families from the nearby blocks. We just keep our things here and handle the daily tasks, no need for anything more complicated than that. We usually close up once it gets dark and the street lights come on.
