V.K. Engineers

V.K. Engineers is located right at Plot No.1-5/A in the Gidc Estate, Phase-II. If you’re coming our way, we are near the Vinzol Railway Crossing in Vatva. The sound of the trains going by is something we’ve all gotten used to over the years. Our workshop is pretty straightforward. We do engineering work, mostly involving metal and fabrication. There are five of us here most days. It gets pretty loud with the machines running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. The floor is concrete and always has some oil spots, no matter how much we sweep. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or decorations. We just focus on the drawings and the parts we have to make. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we have to take a break, which is when we usually grab some tea. Being near the railway crossing means it can get congested during peak hours. We’ve been at this same spot for a long time. People around Vatva know us as the place that just gets the work done. We don't do much talking, mostly just measuring and cutting. It’s a practical life. We handle whatever orders come through the door, big or small. The gates stay open from eight till late evening. It’s just us doing what we know how to do for the folks who need it.
