Thummar Engineers

You can find us at Plot No. 8 on Road No. 1 in the GIDC area of Kathwada. It’s an industrial estate, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. The roads here get a bit messy when it rains, and there’s always a lot of truck movement. Our workshop is where we spend most of our hours. We work on various engineering tasks, mostly involving metal and machinery. It’s a hands-on kind of place. There’s usually a thin layer of dust on everything, and the sound of grinding or cutting is pretty constant. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with our tools. We just focus on the jobs we have and try to get them finished on time. Most of the people around here are doing the same thing—just working hard in their own units. We’ve been in Kathwada for a while now and know the rhythms of the GIDC. It’s a lot of work, sometimes late into the evening if a big order needs to go out. We don’t make a big deal about what we do; we just handle the engineering side of things for the clients who come to us. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We keep the shop open and the work moving.
