Omkar Engineering

You can find Omkar Engineering over on Road No. 5 in the GIDC area, specifically at Plot No. 323. We’ve been at this location for quite some time now. It’s a standard industrial plot with a workshop area and a small section for administrative stuff. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering work here. The noise of the grinders and drills is pretty much constant throughout the day. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us through thick and thin. Most of them live nearby, so they walk or bike to the shop. The office is really just a desk with a computer and a stack of invoices that never seems to get smaller. We don't have a website that we update or any big signs. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the GIDC who need something welded or a specific part made to order. We use a lot of raw steel and iron, so the yard is usually full of materials waiting to be used. It gets hot in the summer under the corrugated roof, so we try to get the heavy work done in the mornings. We aren't trying to do anything fancy. We just take the drawings provided to us and make the parts as requested. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We like being part of the local manufacturing scene here on Road 5.
