Alka Engineers

Down here at Shop No. 3 in New Bapunagar, things are usually pretty busy. We are right in Block 572, Room 3585, which is part of the G.H.B. area. If you are looking for us, we are right across from Gayatri Mandir and the Municipal School. You can hear the school bells and the prayers from the temple throughout the day. It’s a lively spot to work in. We’ve got our tools and machines set up in the shop, and there isn't much room for anything else. Engineering work takes up a lot of space and makes a bit of noise, but the neighbors don’t seem to mind much. We spend our mornings checking over drawings and then the rest of the day is spent with the equipment. It’s a lot of metal and grease. People stop by all the time because they saw the sign while heading to the temple. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and we talk about what needs doing. It is a practical way of running things. The shop is small but we make it work for everything we need to finish. Sometimes the street gets crowded with people from the school, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and know most of the shopkeepers around us. It’s a tight-knit place and we just do our part day by day.
