If you head out toward Odhav and look behind the 66 Kv Electrical Sub Station, you’ll find us at The Anup Engineering Ltd. Being right next to a big substation means we always have that low hum in the background. Our facility is quite large and it’s filled with heavy engineering equipment that takes a lot of space. It’s a very active site where there’s always something being moved by a crane or loaded onto a flatbed. The floor is concrete and scarred from years of moving heavy parts around. We have a lot of different sections for different types of work, but it all feels like one big operation. People who work here have been around for years and they know the layout like the back of their hands. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the big machines are running. We don’t have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s mostly steel, iron, and a lot of hard work. During the summer, the roof gets really hot, so we try to keep the air moving as much as we can. We deal with some pretty large-scale stuff, so things move a bit slower but with a lot of weight behind them. It’s a solid way to spend the day, making things that actually last. We don’t bother with much talk; we just focus on the metal and the machines. You can see the substation towers from our yard, which is a good landmark for anyone coming to visit.
