Vishu Exports

You can find us over at 907 J. B. Tower. It’s right opposite the Doordarshan Tower in Thaltej, so it’s easy to spot the building from a distance. Being on the ninth floor gives us a bit of a view, though we mostly spend our time looking at boxes and shipping documents. This office is where we coordinate everything for the exports. It’s not a quiet place because the phones are usually ringing and there’s always someone coming in with a delivery or a pickup. We deal with a lot of different items, and keeping track of where everything is going takes a lot of our energy. We have a small team here. We aren't interested in being some big fancy corporation with a lot of rules. We just want to get the goods out the door without any trouble. Sometimes there are delays at the port or paperwork gets stuck, and those are the days we end up staying very late. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. The area around Thaltej has changed a lot since we started, with more buildings coming up all the time. But we’ve stayed in J. B. Tower, just doing what we do. It’s a lot of manual checking and double-checking lists. We don't use any scripts when we talk to people; we just tell them how it is. Every box that leaves here has been checked by one of us personally to make sure the label is right.
