Bharat Emporium

Bharat Emporium is located in the cellar of the Plastic Super Market. We are right below the Moscow Hotel in Mani Nagar. It is a very busy area because the post office and the railway station are both nearby. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler during the hot months, but it also means people have to know we are here to find us. We sell all sorts of items, mostly everyday stuff people need for their homes. The shelves are pretty packed because we try to keep a bit of everything in stock. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific item quickly, but we usually know exactly which pile it is in. The noise from the street above and the trains coming in is just part of the background for us now. We see a lot of people passing through on their way to the station. They stop in for something quick before their train leaves. It is a simple retail life. We have been in this cellar for years. The Moscow Hotel is a good landmark for anyone trying to visit us for the first time. We do not spend money on fancy displays or marketing. We just put the goods out and help the customers who walk down the stairs. It is a bit cramped, and the lighting could be better, but it is our shop and it works for us and the locals.
