You can find us at 23 Advance Plaza. We are located right opposite the Swaminarayan Temple on Shahibaug Road. Being in the Shahibaug area is nice because it’s a well-known part of town. We’ve been running Swati Handloom from this specific spot for quite some time now. The temple across the road brings a lot of people by the shop, which is always good for us. Handloom work is a slow and steady kind of business. We have big stacks of fabrics and all the things people need for their homes. It’s a lot of manual work, like checking the quality of the cloth and keeping the shelves full. We don't have a polished or fancy showroom. It’s more of a traditional shop where you can actually see and touch the items up close. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside with all the stock we have. We just handle things one day at a time. The Plaza is a familiar landmark for most of the local residents around here. We know many of our regular customers by their names. It’s that kind of friendly neighborhood. We don't spend any money on big commercials. Word of mouth is usually how new people find out about us. We’re just here doing our thing at Swati Handloom every day. If the traffic on Shahibaug Road is bad, it might take a little while to reach us, but we’re always here. It’s a simple business for simple needs. We just do our best to help people find what they want.
