Adarsh Handloom House

Our shop is 84-85 in the Sindhi Market. We are right near the Sarangpura Gate in Panchkuva. If you know the market, you know it gets very crowded, especially on the weekends. We have been here at Adarsh Handloom House for years. The shelves are packed tight from the floor to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding every day. The morning starts with sweeping the front and getting the tea ready. Then the customers start coming in and it stays busy until late. We don't have much space to walk around inside once the new stock arrives. It’s a family-run kind of place so there is always someone you know behind the counter. The air in the market is always full of voices and the sound of carts moving. We’ve got a small fan tucked in the corner that helps a bit when it gets humid. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People find us because we’ve been here at the same spot near the gate for so long. It is a lot of work to keep everything organized but we have a system that works for us. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs. Sometimes we stay late to finish counting everything up. It is tiring but we are used to it by now. The tea stall guy knows our order by heart and brings it over twice a day without us even having to ask him. It’s just part of the market life.
