Sweta Beauty Parlour

Sweta Beauty Parlour is on the first floor of Ankur Flats. We are located in the Paldi area, right near P T College and the Shantivan neighborhood. Being so close to the college means we see a lot of younger girls coming in between their morning classes. It really keeps the energy high in the shop. The walk up to the first floor is easy enough for most people. The flat has been converted into our workspace, so it has a very domestic and comfortable feel to it. It is not like a shop you would see on a main commercial street. It feels more like visiting a neighbor for a chat. I have lived in Ahmedabad my whole life, so I am very used to the pace of things here. The rooms in the flat are decent sizes. I have one area specifically for hair work and another for everything else. We keep the curtains drawn when it is really sunny outside to keep the afternoon heat out. The balcony looks out over the street towards the college buildings. Sometimes I stand out there for a minute to get some fresh air. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since we first opened in Ankur Flats. They know where I keep the magazines and they just help themselves. It is a very relaxed atmosphere for everyone. (251 words)
