Our shop is right on the ground floor of Swaminarayan Complex over in Paldi. It’s a busy spot, especially with Paldi Road being right there and Hotel Neelkanth sitting just next door. We usually start the day pretty early, getting the chairs ready and sweeping up the floor from the day before. The shop isn’t fancy, but we’ve got good mirrors and the scissors are always sharp. Being in Shop G/1 makes it easy for people to just pop in without having to climb any stairs. You can hear the traffic from the road, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of clippers and some music playing in the background. We get all sorts of people, from college kids to the older gentlemen who’ve lived in Ahmedabad their whole lives. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait on Sunday mornings because everyone wants to look sharp for the week ahead. We just tell them to grab a seat and wait their turn. It’s a simple life here, cutting hair and keeping the place running smoothly. We don't really do much advertising because most people just see us when they're passing by the complex or coming back from the hotel next door. The sink drains a bit slow sometimes, but we manage just fine. It’s an honest living and we enjoy the daily routine of meeting new people and seeing the regulars come back every few weeks for their usual trim. We have been here at this Paldi location for some time now.
