Subhiksha Super Market

You can find us over at 913 Devshari in Gomtipur. We are right across from the Gomtipur Kanya Vidhlaya school. It’s a lively spot, especially when the school lets out and the kids are all over the place. Our supermarket has been here for a bit, serving the people in Ahmedabad-21. We aren't a big corporation or anything. It’s just a local market where we try to keep the basics on hand. The shop can get a bit dusty because of the road traffic, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters. We carry a bit of everything, from snacks to household items. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. If someone can’t find something, they just ask and we point them in the right direction. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the neighborhood has a place to buy their stuff without traveling too far. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to shuffle things around to make room. It’s a bit of a juggle, but we’re used to it by now. The locals seem to appreciate that we’re here. We like being part of the Gomtipur community. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if people are still coming in.
