Our office is at Fortune House, which is right near the Navarangpura railway crossing. If you have ever been stuck at that crossing, you have probably seen the building. It is a busy area with the trains coming through all the time, so there is always a bit of noise in the background. We have got a lot of people coming in and out because of all the different food products we handle. It is a big operation, but inside, it feels like any other office where people are focused on their screens and phones. We spend a lot of time talking about oil prices and grain shipments. The parking area fills up pretty early, so most of us try to get in before the morning rush. The security guards at the gate know all the regulars. It is a solid building and very functional. We do not really have any fancy displays in the lobby, just the usual stuff you would expect. Sometimes we go out for tea near the crossing when we need a break from the desks. It is a bit of a trek to the other side of the tracks if the gate is closed, which happens more often than not. We are just a bunch of people trying to keep the food supplies moving to where they need to go. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, but that is how the business runs day in and day out.
