Reliance Retail

We are based out of B 77 in the Angita Society, which is located in the Vijay area of Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of the city, and being in a society like Angita means there is always something going on nearby. Our office for Reliance Retail isn’t one of those massive warehouses or huge storefronts; it’s just our base of operations here in this residential pocket. We have a few rooms where we keep things organized. The walls have some marks on them from moving furniture around, and the floor could probably use a good scrub more often, but it’s a functional space. We spend a lot of time on our laptops or talking to people over the phone. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the city, cars honking and people chatting as they walk by the gates. The Vijay area is pretty central, so it’s easy to get supplies or find a place for lunch. We don’t have a fancy breakroom, so we usually just sit where we can and have some tea. It feels like a regular house in many ways, which takes the pressure off. We aren't big on ceremony here. We just focus on what needs to be handled for the day and try to stay on top of the paperwork. Ahmedabad gets really hot, so the AC is usually running full blast during the afternoons. It’s a plain, honest place to work.
