Our place is at 461/A/2 on the first floor in Sakar Bazar. If you know Kalupur, you know how crowded it gets. The market is always moving. People are shouting, trucks are loading, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a few chairs. We deal with whatever comes in that day. It's a lot of manual work and checking bags or boxes. The air in Sakar Bazar is thick with the smell of the market. Sometimes it’s spices, sometimes it’s just dust. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything like that. People just know where we are. We have tea from the stall downstairs twice a day. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound, but we don't really notice it anymore. It gets really hot in the afternoons, but that’s just the way it is here. We try to keep things moving so nothing sits for too long. It’s not a quiet job. We are usually talking over the noise from the street. Every day feels pretty much the same, just a lot of stuff to move and people to talk to. We like being in the middle of everything. It keeps us busy from morning until we close up the shutters at night.
