Sona Ceramics (Ghatlodia)

You can find us at G-3 Mahavir Krupa Commercial, which is right opposite the C P Nagar Society in Ghatlodia. It is a pretty active neighborhood. There is always someone coming or going from the society across the street. Our shop, Sona Ceramics, is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for loading and unloading the heavy boxes of tiles. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of different patterns in stock. We have some fluorescent lights that flicker a little bit, but they do the job. The counter is usually covered in papers and catalogs that have seen better days. Ghatlodia has changed a lot since we first started here, with more shops popping up all the time. It gets quite dusty during the dry months, and we spend a lot of time wiping down the displays so people can actually see the colors of the ceramics. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background, mostly just for some noise while we work. It’s a straightforward business. We show people the tiles, they pick what they like, and we figure out how to get it to them. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to complain about the parking or to ask a quick question. We just take it as it comes and try to keep the shop running smoothly through the week.
