We've been here at Plot No. 56 for a while now. It's Shop No. 5 in the Shree Hari Industries Estate. If you know where the fire station is in GIDC, we are right behind it. People usually find us that way. We mostly deal with everyday home things. Fixing stuff or selling parts, that’s what our days look like. It gets a bit dusty around the estate, but it’s a good spot for work. We open up in the morning and stay until late. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it's just us sitting around waiting for someone to drop by with a broken mixer or a stove. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop with tools and spare parts everywhere. We try to help out whoever walks in. My cousin helps me out sometimes when things get heavy. We have a lot of regular faces coming in from the nearby houses and other shops. It’s a tight community here in GIDC. Most days are just about getting things working again for the people who live nearby. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the shop number painted on the door. The area can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here, so we just tell people to look for the fire station first. That makes it easier for everyone. We’ve seen the area change over the years. More shops have come up lately, but we’re still here in the same corner. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
