Shyama Herbal Beauty Parlour

Shyama Herbal Beauty Parlour is situated in Gulbai Tekra. We are up on the second floor of Aatish Avenue, in Shop 203. It is quite close to Samarpan Flat, which is how most locals describe our location. The shop is a quiet space where we focus on herbal treatments for the skin and hair. I prefer using natural ingredients because that is what I learned years ago. The Gulbai Tekra area is always bustling, but being on the second floor keeps the noise away. The avenue is a modern-looking building, but our parlour feels very traditional inside. We have bowls of powders, dried herbs, and different oils everywhere. It smells a lot like sandalwood and rose water most days. Women from the neighborhood come here when they want something that isn't full of harsh chemicals. We do basic things like threading and henna, too. It is a one-room operation, so it feels very private. I handle most of the clients myself. I like taking the time to mix the packs right in front of them. It’s not a fast-paced salon where we rush everyone out. I think people appreciate the slower, more personal touch. Sometimes we run out of a certain herb and I have to go to the market to find it. It’s a small-scale business, and that is exactly how I like to keep it.
