Shreenathji Stores

Our shop, Shreenathji Stores, is tucked away at 828 in the Khadia Post Office Gali. We are in the Bhat Wado area, right near Amritlals Pole in Ahmedabad. If you know the old city, you know how the lanes are. They are narrow and full of history. We have been part of this neighborhood for a very long time. The shop is small and can feel a bit dark inside because of how the buildings are constructed so close together. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling to make use of every bit of space we have. Most of our customers are neighbors who have lived in the same houses for generations. It is a very traditional place to work. We don't have fancy signs or big glass windows. It is just a regular wooden door and a counter where we spend our days. Sometimes it is hard to get large items through the narrow Gali, but we make it work. The pace of life here in Khadia is different from the newer parts of the city. We take our time with people and often end up talking about local news while they shop. It is not just about selling things; it is about being part of the community here. We open up every morning and wait for the bells of the nearby temples to ring. It is a good place to be.
