Shreeji Unisex Salon

If you've been down National Handloom Lane in Navrangpura, you might have noticed the Sachet 2 building. We are upstairs in Shop No 205. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Navrangpura is always crowded, especially with students from SMPIC just across from us. There is that Tometo place nearby too, so there is always a smell of food in the air around lunchtime. We call it Shreeji Unisex Salon because we do hair for both men and women. It’s not a massive space, but we squeezed in enough chairs and mirrors to keep things moving. The lighting is okay, though one of the tubes flickers if you don't hit the switch just right. We get a mix of young kids looking for something trendy and older folks who just want the same cut they've had for twenty years. Off CG Road, it stays loud until late evening. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background while we work. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend much on decorations because we just keep our tools ready and the floor clean. It gets busy on weekends, so the floor stays covered in hair for a while until someone gets a chance to sweep. That's just the way a busy shop works. We try to keep things friendly and simple for everyone who walks in.
