Shree Sai Industries

Down here at Door Number 23 in Bhagwati Estate, things stay pretty noisy. We are located right behind the Uttam Dairy in the Sukhram Nagar area of Amraiwadi. If you know the area, you know it’s a lot of small shops and factories all tucked together. At Shree Sai Industries, we spend most of our time on the shop floor. There’s always some machine running or someone moving pallets around. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s a workplace and we care about the things we make. We’ve had some of the same workers for years now, and we all just know the routine. My desk is covered in papers and old tea cups, but I know where everything is. We started out small and just kept going, year after year. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. That’s just part of life in an industrial estate like this one. We don’t have a big office or a fancy waiting room. Most people just walk straight into the back where the work happens. We focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure things aren't broken when they leave. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We see the milk trucks from the dairy every single morning and the tea stall guy knows our order by heart.
